Farmers Market Veggies on a tableWith summer in full swing, you may get the opportunity to visit a farmers market.  Did you know that farmers markets can be an excellent resource for taking care of your hearing?  That’s right!  According to a recent article from Healthy Hearing, there are many foods common at a farmers market that can greatly help with maintaining your hearing health.  The article suggests that foods such as artichokes, sweet potatoes, blueberries, and many other farmers market staples have nutrients that can help you take care of your hearing.   Vitamin C, Potassium and antioxidants are often prevalent in the options you find in farmers markets and help protect the hair cells in the cochlea as well as help with blood flow through your ears which can help keep your hearing healthy.  Not to mention antioxidants that are vital for protecting your ears from free radicals that can be harmful to your hearing.
